Complaint Procedures
In the event that you wish to file a complaint with the league, a formal committee has been formed to address your concerns. Any complaint filed with the board will be heard by the Executive Board (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Player Agent, Secretary, and Field Commissioner), and the appropriate department head agent of the board of directors (e.g. the applicable division director if the complaint is related to the conduct of coaches).
We encourage you to discuss the matter with the "offending" party if possible before submitting it to the board, particularly if the complaint is in regard to the behavior of a manager or coach. If it is necessary to elevate the complaint to the league board of directors, all complaints should be in writing and include the name and contact information of the person registering the complaint. Please include as many specifics as possible in your complaint (date, time, persons involved, etc.) so that a fair investigation may be completed. If you desire to address the complaint to the board in person, please say so when submitting your written complaint and a suitable meeting will be scheduled at the first opportunity.
The league president may designate a person from the Complaint Committee to investigate the facts and provide an assessment and recommendation to the full membership of the Complaint Committee if appropriate. A written reply will be provided to the person registering the complaint.
Please remember that the league board of directors is nothing more than a group of parents like yourselves who have committed to volunteering the effort necessary to complete specific tasks. We all understand that many of us parents do not have the luxury of being able to volunteer time. However, the board is just a select, and hopefully representative, group of parents to run the league for all of us. As such, you should not be afraid of passing information along to the board when you believe it can help improve the league. I hope you will continue to be the "eyes and ears" for the board in the future.
