PONY - PROTECT OUR NATIONS YOUTH
San Jose Pacific Pony Baseball League (SJPPB) is chartered by PONY Baseball, Inc. to provide a safe, competitive, and quality baseball experience for the youth of the South San Jose area. SJPPB has been providing quality baseball to the youth of South San Jose since 1963.
The Pony system of youth baseball is superior to Little League Baseball in several key ways:
- Kids are separated by age into separate divisions. 9 yr olds do not play in the same division as 12 yr olds. In this way, the difference in the skills of kids within the division is minimized.
- Official Baseball Rules are implemented to the maximum extent practical at a much earlier age.
- Baseball fields are scaled to the ability of the players in each age group.
